The situation
A luxury-tourism company in the UAE ran a real, high-value operation — bookings, customers, supplier costs, commissions — on a stack of Excel sheets stitched together with WhatsApp. Every new booking meant another row typed by hand, another formula to trust, another number that could drift without showing it.
At this scale the problem with spreadsheets isn't speed — it's that an error doesn't announce itself: a broken formula or a mistyped cell keeps looking like sound math.
This obsession isn't new: on day one, the migration's integrity checks surfaced 20 rows where the client's own spreadsheet math didn't reconcile — errors they never knew existed. We built the entire money layer to that standard.
What we built
We built a custom system on their real workflow — not a template they'd have to bend to: customer, booking and supplier management; profit and commission computed automatically; AES-256 encryption for the details of 33 bank cards; role-based access; AI receipt matching; and daily backups. All in Arabic, on mobile and foldable screens.
And control doesn't stop at the money: the owner sees every active login on the system — device, browser, location, sign-in time, last activity — and can end any session in one click, including an employee's if a login looks suspicious; one button signs out every other device, and every revocation is written to the audit trail.
Money integrity: nobody moves a dirham unseen
For a company moving commissions and payouts every day, the real question isn't "how much did we sell?" — it's "can a single dirham move without us seeing it?" We built the system so the answer is no. Every commission is tracked; every edit is written to a full, unerasable audit trail. The system detects near-duplicate bookings on its own and alerts the owner, and notifies him on Telegram the moment any employee edits or cancels. Commission rates are locked the instant they're approved, so they don't change afterward. Money doesn't move without a trace.
And when the owner needs his numbers, totals are computed straight from the database: he searches, filters, sorts and exports to branded Excel — across bookings, customers, commissions and payouts — with no page reloads.
The audit trail records what happened; the new protection stops it before it happens. When an employee typed a selling price with an extra zero — AED 240,590 instead of ~24,059 — and a large wrong commission was computed, a preserved trace was no longer enough: within days the system was weighing every selling price against its cost at entry, stopping the mistake at the door — a warning to the employee before the save, and a flag plus an instant Telegram alert to the owner if saved anyway.
A smart rule that weighs price against cost, with owner-tunable sensitivity — it catches typos without false alarms on genuinely high-value bookings.
